APPOINTMENT CANCELLATION POLICY

  • A full 24 hours notice is required for cancelling appointments. Clients are invited to log in to their account in the Acuity online booking app and cancel, or, if not possible, to contact Brandy directly. Online cancellations can only be made with 24+ hours notice.

  • If you cancel with less than 24 hours before your appointment time, you will be billed for the full cost of your appointment. This also applies to same-day bookings which are subsequently cancelled.

  • Clients who fail to show up for a scheduled appointment (“no show”) are billed for the full cost of their scheduled session.

  • Clients receive emailed appointment reminders that are set up through their client profile in the Acuity App booking system, sent out 24 hours days before their appointment time. Clients also have the option of adding SMS reminders 72 hours and 1 hour before their scheduled session. While clients can log in to their profile at any time to deactivate these reminders, clients understand that in doing so that they are solely responsible for remembering their appointment time. Deactivated reminders are the number one reason for missed appointments. Also, rarely, the Acuity App may be subject to technical problems whereby reminders are not sent out. These reminders are a courtesy only; clients are responsible to keep or cancel their appointment regardless of whether they receive a reminder or not.   • If you have purchased a coaching/counselling package and you cancel one of your prepaid sessions with less than 24 hours, or miss the session, this session counts as having been used.


    INDIVIDUAL PARTICIPANT CANCELLATION POLICY - CEREMONY, EVENTS, WORKSHOPS, CLASSES

  • If you have booked a ceremony, event, workshop or class being facilitated by RISING FROM WITHIN, BRANDY NIELSON and need to cancel with more than 14 days notice,  we will hold a credit for you that can be used in the future for any future retreats, less a $100 cancellation fee.

  • If you need to cancel your booking for a ceremony, event, workshop or class within 14 days of the start date/time, and we can fill your spot from a waiting list, then we are happy to refund your deposit, less the $100 cancellation fee.  

  • If you do not attend a ceremony, event, workshop or class which you have paid for (i.e. don’t show up for the retreat), or cancel within 14 days of the start date/time, there is no refund available.  You are welcome to transfer your registration to someone else. If this event requires an application form the transfer of your registration to someone else is pending approval of their application, less $100 administration fee.

‘THE RETREAT’ CANCELLATION POLICY

Please note that because Rising From Within Retreats are limited to a small number of attendees, to allow for a more personable, intimate experience, our cancellation policy is in place to help guests and us alike work together sharing expenses that may arise from unexpected cancellations.

  • HOLD DEPOSITS ARE NON-REFUNDABLE.

  • Hold deposits (minus $100 CAD re-listing fee) are transferable to another new attendee found and assigned by original attendee.

  • Full balance due 30 days before start date of retreat unless otherwise noted.

  • Cancellation requests submitted within 30 days of retreat date, 50% of total amount (less deposit) will be refunded.

  • Within 29 days of your retreat: sorry but no refunds given, no exceptions.

  • Any refunds allowed will incur a 3% processing fee.

No one books a retreat with the intention of cancelling it, but unexpected events do occur. It is your responsibility to read and understand our cancellation policies. Exceptions cannot be made for any reason, including weather, injury/illness, or personal emergencies. No refunds or credits for failure to attend or failure to complete the retreat, or for arriving late or leaving early. 

If you are travelling to the retreat from out of province or county we recommend that you purchase your own travel insurance and trip cancellation insurance in order that your trip fees will be covered should you or your family have a medical problem prior to your trip or while on the trip. Trip insurance should also be purchased to cover medical expenses in the event you have an accident while on the retreat. Most travel insurance must be purchased within 14 days of making your reservation. 

We reserve the right to cancel retreats with inadequate participant interest, in which case all money paid to Rising From Within Retreats will be refunded. Notification of cancellation for this reason will occur at least 1 month prior to retreat start date. Rising From Within Retreats cannot be held responsible for any personal expenses, such as airline tickets due to changes in itineraries or retreat cancellations.
